    MEREL QUARTET

    As an enthusiastic chamber musician, Edouard has been the second violinist in the Merel Quartet since 2017. With the ensemble, he has forged connections with some of Switzerland's most prominent composers such as David Philipp Hefti, Helena Winkelmann, Heinz Holliger, Roland Moser, and Gérard Zinsstag, studying and performing their works. The quartet serves as the host and organizer of the annual Zwischentöne Festival in Engelberg and has been curating the Merel Chamber Series in Zurich and Lucerne since 2022.

    As a co-founder and artistic director of the Klezmer band "Cheibe Balagan," Edouard takes the stage with flair. Featured in the Swiss box office hit "Wolkenbruch," the ensemble has released three albums, earning acclaim for their explosive blend of virtuosity, linguistic wit, and irresistibly danceable grooves. Cheibe Balagan has graced stages at renowned venues including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Openair St. Gallen, Festival Da Jazz St. Moritz, and Zermatt Unplugged.
